Everdot Privacy Policy

Effective 13 October 2026 · App: Everdot: Daily Habit Tracker (com.elitecorner.everdot) · Developer: Elite Corner

In short: Everdot has no ads and no analytics, and works without an account. Your habits stay on your phone unless you turn on sync, which stores them in your own Everdot account (on Google Firebase) so they reach your other devices. We never sell or share them. If you buy Everdot Pro, the purchase is handled by Google Play and recorded by RevenueCat, our purchase provider, under an anonymous ID.

What the app stores on your device

Your habits (names, icons, colours, goals, reminders), your check-ins, rest days, notes, daily moods and settings are saved in a file on your device. Without sync, they are never uploaded. Home-screen widgets and the Quick Settings tile read a summary of today's habits from the same device. Reminders are scheduled locally by Android.

Sync (optional)

If you choose Back up & sync and sign in with Google, Everdot creates an account for you with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), our service provider. It stores:

DataWhy
Your Google account's email address, name and a Firebase user IDTo sign you in and keep your data in your account
Your habits (names, icons, colours, goals, reminders), check-ins, rest days, notes you add to days, your daily mood if you log it, earned badges and your "day starts at" settingTo keep them in step across your devices and restore them on a new phone

Data is encrypted in transit and stored by Google; only you can read or change it (the database rules allow each account to access its own data only). We don't use it for anything else, don't sell it and don't share it. Look settings (theme, wallpaper, haptics) stay on each device. Signing out stops syncing; you can choose to keep or remove the copy on the phone.

Backups

  • Android backup: if you have Android backup turned on, Android may copy Everdot's data file to your own Google account and restore it on a new phone. This is run by Google under your Google account settings; we cannot access it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
  • Export / import: you can save a backup file and share it wherever you choose (for example Files, Google Drive or email). Where it goes is entirely up to you.

Purchases (Everdot Pro)

Payments are processed by Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. To check that Pro is active, restore it on a new device and handle subscription renewals, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives:

DataWhy
Purchase history (which Pro plan, when, its status)To unlock Pro and keep it active
An anonymous app user ID created by RevenueCatTo link purchases to this installation and restore them
Basic device information (platform, OS version, app version, country)To process purchases and show local prices

RevenueCat acts as our service provider and does not sell this data. Nothing about your habits is sent to RevenueCat. If you never open the Pro screen or buy Pro, no purchase is recorded.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends an anonymous report to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider (servers in the EU), so we can fix the problem. A report contains the error and where in the code it happened, plus the app version, Android version and device model. It never contains your habits, notes, moods, account or email, the screens you visited, or anything you typed. You can turn crash reports off in Settings → About → Send crash reports.

What we do not collect

Without sync: no account, name or email, and your habits and moods stay on your phone. Never: contacts, location, photos, advertising ID or analytics. The app shows no ads and contains no tracking or advertising SDKs.

Permissions

  • Notifications (asked only when you add a reminder): to show your reminders.
  • Run at startup: to reschedule reminders after your phone restarts.
  • Internet: only for Google Play purchases, RevenueCat, crash reports and, if you turn it on, sync.
  • Set wallpaper (used only if you turn on the year wallpaper): to draw your year of dots on your lock or home screen.

Children

Everdot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed in to sync, contact us and we will delete that account and its data.

Deleting your data

Sync account: in the app, open Settings, tap your email address under Sync, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your Everdot account and all data stored in it straight away. If you no longer have the app, follow the steps on our account deletion page: email us from the Google address you signed in with and we will delete the account and its data within 30 days.

On the phone: delete habits in the app, or uninstall Everdot to remove everything stored on the device. To have your purchase record removed from RevenueCat, email us and we will delete it (an active subscription must be cancelled in Google Play first).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
